The Institute of Security and Strategy Foundation is a think tank that supports the process of building and promoting strategic thinking in Poland. We are the only think tank in Poland bringing together domestic and foreign experts with different political views and outstandingm professional achievements, who devote themselves to building a long-term and efficient security and defense policy for Poland. Openness to new ideas, unconventional approaches to issues of internal and international security, the application of expert debate allows for multi-vector definition of threats and allows IBiS to provide tailored analytic solutions. Our strong asset is non-partisanship and the equal treatment of all opinions and points of view aimed at ensuring a stable and prosperous for future generations of Poles.

Colonel (ret.) Grzegorz Małecki is the President of the board and one of the founders of the Institute of Security and Strategy.

In 1991, Colonel Małecki started to serve at the Polish Intelligence Services (UOP, ABW and AW) and in 2015 was appointed as the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Agency (AW).

Mr. Małecki has comprehensive knowledge and extensive experience in the field of national security, in particular intelligence, cyber security, international affairs and diplomacy as well as audit and control in the state administration.

Grzegorz Małecki was appointed as the First Consul at the Polish Embassy in Madrid in 2009.
In 2005, Mr. Małecki was appointed as the Secretary of the Committee for Special Services at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland.

In 2003, Mr. Małecki organized and managed the work of the audit and internal control department in Opole City Hall.

In 1991, Grzegorz Małecki was graduated of the Institute of History at the Wrocław University.
Mr. Małecki is the uniwersity lecturer, author of numerous publications, participant of many domestic and foreign conferences devoted to issues of intelligence, national security, cyber security, intelligence systems management, energy security, international relations, control and audit.
Colonel Małecki has been working as the Head of the cybersecurity, economy and energy programs at the Casimir Pulaski Foundation since 2017. He’s a participant in “Projekt Konsens”
